today was the big day! my final hurdle for the project.... the presentation to the powers-that-be... the big boss man himself haha...
... and i managed to clear it.... gosh i am so relieved now.... now i definitely can sleep better at night... this has got to be the BEST X'mas gift i have ever gotten...
but of course, it's not plain sailing ....
i didn't sleep too well last night as my presentation script keeps playing over and over again in my head... and when i got into office in the morning, just when i thought i had it all nailed, my boss came in, and grilled me on what i am supposed to present... and was totally different from the one i prepared. so i had less than 2 hours to amend my slides, get the facts and figures ready... and prepare a new script... TOTAL CHAOS!!!
And the thing was, i was not even suppose to be presenting... but i was told to do so anyway...
So, went for the meeting... and while i was waiting in the reception area for my turn... my OTHER boss came out and told me that i do not need to present... we'll just take it as "the paper is read and endorsed".... wah lau eh....
so in the end, i DID NOT present.... haha
Oh...sidetracking, i think my bosses are getting kinda paranoid after the recent incident regarding work stress.... while i was waiting (slouching-ly) on the couch, a director-level person suddenly came up to me and whispered :
"Are you very tired? I have been noticing you for the past few weeks. You look very tired."
"Err... yar...."
"Why? Work issit?"
"Err... yar...."
"Well... take care!"
Today is the start of the final leg of my leave.... i'll only be back in office on 3rd January 2007...
Or so i thought.
